The third chancellor of the Texas Tech University System, Kent Hance was born and raised in the small community of Dimmitt, located in the Panhandle of Texas. A true West Texan, there is no question in Hance's service to this region and passion for his alma mater.
A graduate of Texas Tech University, Hance is a professor, attorney and former Texas senator, Texas railroad commissioner and U.S. congressman.
