Robert Giovannetti
Robert Giovannetti was named associate vice chancellor for communications and marketing in August of 2011.
In his role, Giovannetti coordinates and directs the communication and marketing efforts at each of the Texas Tech University System institutions.
Prior to joining the Texas Tech University System, Giovannetti was president and partner of TRI Productions, a company specializing in the development of educational programs for secondary schools and higher education. TRI was a leader nationally in developing an online curriculum in financial literacy for high school students. Under his leadership, TRI also developed a series of online life skills programs for collegiate student athletes.
While at TRI, Giovannetti also developed and published the leading Texas Tech sports related internet website, RedRaiderSports.com. He established and co-hosted a highly successful two-hour daily radio show for six years and also was the sports director for the local Fox affiliate. Giovannetti published a monthly Texas Tech sports related magazine, Red Raider Sports, for 10 years and also authored a book on the history of Texas Tech athletics, Fearless Champions.
Before founding TRI, Giovannetti was president of CEV Multimedia, the nation’s leading producer of multimedia educational materials in vocational education. He advanced at CEV, from heading up sales and marketing to eventually being named president.
Giovannetti holds a bachelor's degree in telecommunications from Texas Tech University.
