Texas Tech University (TTU) claimed three national championships during the past two months. The TTU Wool Judging Team captured the program’s third national championship and the TTU Pom squad won national titles in both dance jazz and pom at the National Cheerleaders Association and National Dance Alliance Championship.

The TTU Wool Judging Team earned its first national championship since 2013 after winning the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Collegiate contest taking the top two spots in the team standings and winning the National Western Stock Show in Denver earlier this spring.

The TTU Pom Squad successfully defended its program’s first dance jazz national title from a year ago with back-to-back national championships. The Pom Squad also earned the program’s first national championship in the pom category.

At Angelo State University (ASU), first-year cheerleading coach Kaylee Feece led the ASU Cheer Team to its first-ever national championship at the USA College Championships in Anaheim, California this spring. ASU beat out larger universities for the title.
