Resolution of the Board of Regents Honoring Don & Willie Haragan
Don Haragan WHEREAS, Dr. Donald R. Haragan has been with Texas Tech for over 36 years; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Haragan has served with distinction as professor, department chair, associate dean, interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, vice president for academic affairs and research, executive vice president and provost, president, and interim president; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Haragan responded enthusiastically to the Board’s request to serve as interim chancellor; and
WHEREAS, Don and Willie Haragan serve as beacons of excellence, service and Texas Tech pride; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Tech Board of Regents offers expressions of profound gratitude for their dedication; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Board of Regents of the Texas Tech University System on this date, October 27, 2006, does hereby extend its congratulations and heartfelt appreciation to Don and Willie Haragan by extending to them a cruise through the British Isles sponsored by the Texas Tech Alumni Association, a cruise that includes stops in the Channel Islands, Wales, Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Orkney Islands, Inverness, Edinburgh, and Paris/Normandy; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Don and Willie Haragan as an expression of high regard from the Board of Regents.
