Chancellor, State Leaders Discuss Future of Higher Education

Recently, Chancellor Robert L. Duncan shared his thoughts on the future of higher education with The Texas Tribune as part of its special statewide series of public events.

The event was held on the Texas Tech University campus in Lubbock and was the first installment of The Texas Tribune's Conversation Series, which features in-depth discussions with prominent elected officials and leading thinkers looking ahead five years in major policy areas.

Moderated by Evan Smith, CEO and editor-in-chief of The Texas Tribune, the discussion also included Juliet García, executive director of the University of Texas Institute of the Americas, and former president of the University of Texas at Brownsville, State Sen. Charles Perry, R-Lubbock, and Wynn Rosser, president and CEO of the Greater Texas Foundation, on the panel.
