BEN KONIS (AMERICAN)
Pastel on Paper
Dean’s Conference Room
Unusual compositions and dramatic times of day, striking
lighting, and daring colors are what mark the work of Ben
Konis, reflecting his love for the Texas Panhandle. His
work often portrays modern Native Americans as principal
subjects of his pieces. Captivated by images of the Southwest,
he sold his business in New York City and lived out his life in
Amarillo to pursue his art.
