Welcome, Angelo State University!
Texas Tech University System Chancellor Kent Hance issued the following statement today (May 25) with regard to the realigning of Angelo State University from the Texas State University System to the Texas Tech University System.
Statement from Chancellor Hance:
Angelo State joins the
Texas Tech University System.
The Texas Tech University System is proud to welcome Angelo State University to the family.
Angelo State is a highly-esteemed and well-established West Texas university with a culture and programs compatible to those offered at Texas Tech University and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
The groundswell of community support in the San Angelo and Lubbock communities made this alliance possible and we look forward to a smooth transition. Angelo State is an excellent addition to the Texas Tech system and will further our key objective of preparing students for personal, professional and civic success.
