TTU System Coronavirus information

March 15, 2020

Dr. Tedd L. Mitchell issued Sunday (March 15) the following update to the university communities across the Texas Tech University System on the latest precautionary planning and developments with the Coronavirus.

Letter from Chancellor Mitchell:

Dear team member:

Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D.Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D.

Given that the COVID-19 pandemic is hitting closer to home, leadership from the Red Raider and Ram families have been in constant contact over the last 48 hours monitoring the latest developments and planning for the continued safety of our campus communities.

Our leadership teams have taken action to keep our folks safe and minimize the spread of COVID-19. Please know this situation is constantly changing, and we are evaluating what is best for each of our communities as information evolves.

You will be hearing more information from your university leadership regarding these plans. At this time, there are no confirmed or suspected cases at the TTU System and its universities.

Across the System, each of you are valued teammates, and we are one family. Below is a video that I wanted to share as we head into next week.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your university leaders or direct supervisor. I wish you and your family health and safety and appreciate the work of our leadership during this unprecedented time.

Warmest regards,

Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D.
Chancellor
