Message from Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D. – COVID-19 Resources for the TTUSA

Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., issued Friday (October 30) the following update to the Texas Tech University System Administration (TTUSA) on COVID-19 resources for TTUSA team members.

Letter from Chancellor Mitchell:

Dear TTU System Administration team:

As we head into the holiday weekend and continue facing challenges of the coronavirus, I feel it is important to reshare resources to be utilized should our team members become infected with COVID-19 or are at high-risk of exposure to the virus. More than anything, I want us all to remain dedicated to keeping our family and community safe.

With the recent surge in Lubbock and in many cities across our region, we all must stay vigilant in these practices to take care of ourselves and each other.

Provided below are links to COVID-19 resources for your review:

This information provides detailed steps for COVID-19 positive employees and additional protocols and considerations for potential COVID-19 exposure.

I also ask that you visit the TTUSA Commitment to a Safe Return & Workplace website, where you will find a comprehensive document that contains updated information for our employees regarding COVID-19 and TTUSA protocols.

Please remember that free, on-campus COVID-19 testing for employees, provided by the Texas Department of Emergency Management, has been extended through Dec. 9. This is offered inside the Helen DeVitt Jones Sculpture Court at the Museum of Texas Tech University, located at 3301 4th Street.

It is extremely important that we all take this situation seriously and do our part in living our Shared Values to put our People First and be sacrificial and not selfish for our Community.

Warmest regards,

Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D.
Chancellor, Texas Tech University System
