John Russell
Senior Program Director
John Russell is a Senior Program Director in the Office of Facilities Planning & Construction at the Texas Tech University System, joining the department in 2012.
In his role, Russell is responsible for the project administration of several major construction projects within the Texas Tech University System, which includes four universities and multiple campuses and academic sites.
Previously, Russell served for 13 years as the Director for Facilities Planning & Construction at Angelo State University. Before joining Angelo State University, Russell worked in commercial construction and development for 20 years.
Russell has a bachelor's degree from Angelo State University and attended Texas A&M University. He is a former Texas Real Estate Broker and MAI appraiser, and has completed the Planning Institute Program of the Society of College and University Planners. A member of several associations in the construction and development industry, he also has served as the communication chair of the Southern Region of the Society of College and University Planners.
