Three Texas Tech University System (TTU System) institutions were recently recognized by The Chronicle of Higher Education as Great Colleges to Work For®. Texas Tech University (TTU), Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) and Angelo State University (ASU) were the only public four-year universities in Texas to make the list while also receiving the prestigious Honor Roll status.

The Great Colleges to Work For® program is one of the premier organizations in the nation that recognizes institutions that have successfully created great workplaces and furthered research and understanding of organizational culture in higher education.

The ranking is based on its survey of faculty and staff at more than 200 institutions across the U.S., including 139 four-year colleges and universities. Of the 75 that were named Great Colleges to Work For®, only 42 colleges and universities were selected to the Honor Roll, which was most cited across all the recognition categories.

“Time and time again, we have celebrated our universities as they are recognized as Great Colleges to Work For and among the top institutions as Honor Roll recipients,” said Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., chancellor of the TTU System. “This recognition is especially remarkable because the results are based on feedback that comes directly from our faculty and staff and speaks to our universities’ day-to-day culture and environment. I want to congratulate our presidents on this incredible achievement and thank their teams for making our university a great place to work and, ultimately, an extraordinary place for the entire TTU System family.”
