With 64,022 students enrolled across its five component universities, the Texas Tech University System (TTU System) has marked its second consecutive and fifth of the last six years of record enrollment.

Texas Tech University (TTU),  Angelo State University (ASU) and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (Texas Tech Health El Paso) all set university enrollment records. Midwestern State University (MSU Texas) saw its highest number of new first-time, full-time students, while Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (Texas Tech Health El Paso) had an approximately 5% increase in students from last fall.

The previous systemwide enrollment record of 63,612 students was achieved during the 2023-24 academic year.

“Higher education is constantly evolving, but one thing remains the same: students continue to choose the five universities in our system as places to grow, learn and call home,” said Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., chancellor of the TTU System. “As we celebrate yet another year of record enrollment, I want to congratulate our presidents and their teams and thank them for everything they do to support our students as they pursue their educational goals and develop into leaders of character who can meet the needs of today, tomorrow and beyond.”
