Hilary Watkins, associate director in the Office of System Relations at the Texas Tech University System (TTU System), has been appointed to Keep Texas Beautiful’s Board of Directors, according to the organization’s recent announcement.
“We are proud of Hilary and grateful for the dedication she brings to the Texas Tech University System and our community,” said Chancellor Brandon Creighton. “Her appointment to the Keep Texas Beautiful Board of Directors is a well-deserved recognition of her leadership and commitment to service. I know she will represent Lubbock well and help strengthen communities across Texas.”
Watkins has served on the Keep Lubbock Beautiful advisory committee since 2023, most recently as chair. She is the first person from Lubbock to be named to the Keep Texas Beautiful board.
“It is a humbling privilege to be appointed to the Keep Texas Beautiful board,” said Watkins. “During my time of service, I hope to build relationships and bring opportunities home to West Texas, as well as share what we are doing successfully in this region with the rest of our affiliates around the state.”
Watkins has worked for the TTU System since 2022. She recently earned her Master of Business Administration degree from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University.
