A Message from Regent Ginger Kerrick Davis - Survey Now Open

Dear Midwestern State University family,
I hope you’re all doing well and that your week is off to a great start. As you may know, we have started our search process for the next MSU Texas president, and I write today to provide an update on our plans, as well as share our next steps.
This past week, our presidential search committee held its first formal meeting on campus. We have a wonderful team, each of whom has a demonstrated passion and commitment to MSU Texas and the Wichita Falls community. I look forward to partnering with this team throughout the process, and I am confident we will serve this search, the university, and the community well.
We’ve officially received our charge to find the next MSU Texas leader. We have an ambitious schedule, seeking to move both expeditiously, yet thoroughly and thoughtfully. To that end, we’ve also brought on a leading national search firm, Anthem Executive, that has an established record of success in placing academic leaders and presidential roles at universities throughout the country. The use of a search firm will help us stay within our timeline and ensure a highly qualified candidate pool with new applicants.
Finally, during our previous presidential search, we gained valuable input from a series of town hall meetings. That information offers a solid foundation in our search efforts to ensure the next president of MSU Texas is a match not only for the university, but also the greater Wichita Falls community. We are seeking to augment that insight and offer an opportunity to receive additional feedback in this search with an online survey, where MSU Texas faculty, staff, students, alumni, supporters and community members can share their respective thoughts with the search committee members.

The survey will remain open this entire week (March 6-10) and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday (March 10). Your responses and findings from the survey will be helpful in guiding our work.
